What to expect ...
The experience exchange trip will begin with a visit to Anna’s Tree School in Babīte parish. During the visit, we’ll learn about tree shaping (topiary), craftsmanship and educational initiatives, as well as how a tree can harmoniously coexist with people and architecture.
Next, we will travel to SIA “Pro Natura” (Femme.eco) in Ķekava municipality. The visit will introduce the production of natural teas and health products dedicated to supporting women’s well-being and health.
Lunch and the following visit will take place at the “Dabas zirgi” (Nature Horses) human and horse well-being centre. Here, we will explore a social entrepreneurship approach and activities aimed at animal welfare and human well-being.
Lunch will be provided by SIA “Aluna”, offering a various national cuisines and sharing an intercultural culinary experience.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Mārupe Municipality Entrepreneurship and Tourism Centre. Here, we will learn about the local tourism attractions and local producers.
Later in the day, we will visit the organic farm IK “Dabas gardumi” in Jaunmārupe, which has recently become one of the founders of the cooperative KS Vidzemes āboli un ogas (Vidzeme apples and berries).
During the visit, we will learn about berry cultivation, processing and the range of organic products.
The experience trip will conclude with dinner at the family restaurant “Irbēni”, enjoying local hospitality and cuisine.
