There are three options:

Explore the Great Ķemeri Moor with bog shoes

This is a unique opportunity and experience to discover the landscape of the Great Ķemeri Moor accompanied by professional “bog guides” and instructors. We will put on special bog shoes, which ensure safe movement in the bog environment, and go on a 5-6 km hike to learn about the development of the bog, its characteristic plants, animals, and natural objects.

Main sights: bog lakes, pools and ponds, the legendary Lily Lake, Krāči Hills – Litorina Sea dunes. In the distance, you will be able to hear cranes and, if you look carefully, you will be able to see insectivorous plants – sundews.

The route leads through specially protected nature areas.

The route is not marked in nature and is not intended for walking without a guide.

The total length of the route is 2.5-3 hours, and the hike is suitable for all age groups.
After the hike, we will enjoy a traditional Latvian lunch at a tavern beside the sea.

Guided hike from Ragakāpa Nature Park to the mouth of the Lielupe River in the Gulf of Riga + raft trip on the Lielupe River

Ragakāpa Nature Park is a protected natural area of European importance (Natura 2000), established to preserve the coastal dunes, which are covered with ancient pine forests and have a rich biodiversity. Up to 17 meters high, Ragakāpa offers a scenic route along wooden walkways that wind through a fragrant pine forest.

Crossing the nature park, we will reach the sea coast, where we will take a short hike along the wide beach to the mouth of the Lielupe River. It is a particularly impressive place where two mighty elements meet – the river and the sea, creating a feeling of vastness and freedom. The total length of the hike is approximately 3 kilometres.

At Lielupe, we will be greeted by a comfortable and stable raft, which we will use to travel upriver towards Priedaine. During the trip, we will visit a unique stone sculpture garden created by sculptor Pauls Jaunzems, as well as stop at the White Dune – an impressive natural formation that is approximately 100 meters wide and 800 meters long. This dune was formed in 1757 when the river broke through the narrow strip of land and created a new estuary into the sea.

On the raft, we will enjoy a delicious lunch, get to know Latvia’s beautiful nature and each other.
